Insurance Acceptance

Clients frequently ask me if I accept insurance. The answer to this
question is yes. The essential related question is: Will the
insurance company pay for my services? The answer to this varies
widely from company to company and also for different policies within
the same company.

There are several different types of insurance:

If a person has been in an automobile accident within the past year this type of liability insurance will usually pay for my services.
Pretax health plans through employers such as Manley plans will usually reimburse you for my services.
The situation with health insurance has improved in recent years with more and more insurers paying for my work, a majority of plans still do not.

To find out if your insurance will pay for my work telephone your
insurance company and ask this very specific question:

"Under what circumstances will you pay for the services of a licenses
massage therapist?"

The answer to this question will tell you whether or not your insurance
will pay for my services, and if so what steps the insurance company
requires from you and I to do this.
